10 hours, 4280 words, 2 print outs, 1 brain turned into jam

So, one minute I’m on the phone to my parents and I start to cry uncontrollably and 24 hours later my mum is here. I don’t want to say where my parents live but let’s just say they don’t live very near, in fact they live quite far. I was totally floored when she walked through the door. Since then I have been better and today I finished and handed in my dissertation/project thing for which I wrote 4280 words in roughly 10 hours (including proof-reading). All the weird and unexplainable pains have gone too but my mood isn’t very good.

I now have 3 more assignments to complete, of which at least one is due by next Thursday (which will involve a lot of research). The rest are simply HARD WORD with a lot of coding and some self-mutilation mixed in there just for fun. Also, next week I will have to demonstrate my dissertation/project which (as I was told yesterday) will require my making a poster for it after all. I have never made a poster and I can’t even begin to think of what I should/could put on a poster for a web application that is not interesting and isn’t launched yet. I think I’ll just print off a few A4 pages and make some weird diagrams of what my development cycle was or, you know, a diagram complete with pictures about where a user should click to do certain tasks. Yes, a step-by-step guide. And at the top of the page I’ll just write “using a website, for dummies”.

Yes, I’m cranky and tired and a little sleepy. I actually don’t have the strength to move my mouth and talk but inside, oooooooh inside I’m like a volcano. Can you feel the earthquake?

  1. Awwww that’s sweet of your mom! My mom wanted to come up to see me when Tom and I broke up but my little brother is expensive so she couldn’t.

I hope you feel better soon! *love*

  2. Good that your mum showed up. :D

My mom will be here friday actually. The parental units are moving here, so she’s here to scope out a new house and hopefully buy one. Crazy! But it will be nice to have them closer. I mean they’re in NJ and I’m in WA. That’s pretty far. hehe.

You’ll get through this! We’re here for you!

  3. I am so glad your mom came to see you. You cracked me up with what you said when she showed up. “Holy Flying Fart” I am so using that expression now.

yoshi :: Thanks mr! It is very good to know people are thinking of you when you’re not so well.

Melanie :: That phrase is a favourite of mine, spread it around. More people should use it.
