APEC

Currently the heads of state that represent some 40% of the world’s population are in Sydney for the APEC summit. Security has been tight, a huge fence has been built around the centre of Sydney and armed police are everywhere. The sight of motorcades has become common, to the extent that a fake motorcade managed to get through two security checkpoints and pull up outside the hotel where President George W Bush is staying, where upon Osama Bin Ladin jumped out. That’s what we get for $250 million of taxpayers’ money?

after spending 2 days on this we finally have a winner

Yes, ladies and lads! Therapy in the making has a new masthead! It wasn’t very hard to make but it took me forever to make up my mind about which one I liked the most out of the 5 slightly different versions I made. I hope you like it!

I give you, “please keep the drooling to a minimum”! Please leave a comment with words of praise otherwise some constructive criticism in order to be taken seriously, this is not YouTube…

To view older mastheads that I’ve made for this site please head on to the Mastheads page.

you don’t need proof to know there is such a thing as gaydar…

Have you read this? Sexual Orientation Revealed by Body Type and Motion, Study Suggests

So essentially what they did is research if gaydar really exists? It’s articles like this which upset me. What is the use of such a research? Did you read their justification?

“Studies like ours are raising questions about the value of the military’s ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy. If casual observers can determine sexual orientation with minimal information, then the value in concealing this information certainly appears questionable. Given that we all appear to be able to deduce this information to some degree with just a glance, more comprehensive policies may be required to protect gays against discrimination based on their sexual orientation.”

Did they really need to conduct a research to find out that some gays have very easy to spot mannerisms? “Don’t ask don’t tell” policy? Are they kidding themselves?

mondayz tunez #11 :: another happy-happy song

Hello everyone! Sorry for disappearing for this long. Holidaying with my family was great and very relaxing but I’m still at my parents’ house which means my Internet connection sucks (when it actually works, that is). This is the reason I have been unable to post anything. I have managed to connect today though and I am happy to present you with another one of my Mondayz Tunez. I am sorry that the last Monday Tune I posted was not uploaded properly. Like I said my connection here sucks. I’ve tried to fix and the only thing I managed to do is upload just a slightly longer part of the song.

So let me introduce to you this week’s Monday Tune: I adore this song! It is so happy and uplifting that I can’t help dancing/singing along every time I hear it. In fact it is my favourite song out of all the songs this band has made and they have produced some great songs!

I give you Dire Straits and the “Walk of Life”
[audio:Dire Straits - Walk Of Life.mp3]

I also found out that our favourite yoshi is doing a Tuesday Tune special on his site so head on to yoshi’s blog on Tuesdays for another dose of weekly music!

Update: I forgot to say that the beautiful Luka is also posting a song every Tuesday as well. So click over to Luka’s blog tomorrow and every Tuesday to listen to her choice of the week!

Did you know?

How gauche!

Well last night was Riverfest and everywhere with a view of the river was packed. That didn’t bother me as I was working, and, I did a good job! The fireworks were wonderful, they were launched from the tops of several buildings and bridges and the whole city was lit up with magnificant colours!

Afterwards I went over to my friend Jason’s place and had some beers. I felt akward the whole night because his new partner was there and obviously not keep to do anything other than go to bed so I felt that I should leave as soon as possible. So Jason and I walked his co-worker Bry to the taxi rank leaving Jason’s new partner home alone. While at the taxi rank Bry managed to remove one of the large taxi signs from it’s cement base. Eventually we got her a cab and I walked down to the local pub. The local pub is a bit rough, but it serves beer.

So after a few more schooners of beer I remember catching a cab into the Valley, Brisbane’s nightlife district. That was about 2:30am From there I don’t remember anything until I was having sex on the Storey Bridge.
