who’s that girl

Howdy!  I am Ruthie, but some people call me Luka!  Either’s fine really.  I use Ruthie now online, but for a long LONG time I only used the name Luka on my internets.  I am a Blogathon Vet! I started in…oh crap…I did the first one. I think I did 5 ‘Thons over the years! It’s an amazing experinece! One that’s never quite the same from year to year. Therapy in the Making has given me the chance to participate this year, and I am super glad I was able to, even in this small way! I’ve got the next 90 minutes to take over this blog here, and I’m going to try and make the most of it! 🙂 I used to be very serious about blogging. Wrote every day.  When Blogathon time rolled around I got really into it. I wish I could find some of the books I used to set up for ‘Thon. (They’re all packed up @ the other house.)  I would chart out each post – not pre writing – just planning out a topic.  The last year that I participated, I was not only a writer, but a dj too!  I’ve even been a Monitor a time or two! It’s seems odd to me that I’m only doing a couple of posts – but like I said! I am VERY very glad to be here!  Shoot, I think it’s time to hit PUBLISH!

It is for me anyway. Thank you, Therapy in the Making, for letting me be part of the team for this year’s Blogathon. Remember, we are raising money for Doctors Without Borders. If you can, please donate by registering with Blogathon or going directly to the Doctor’s Without Border’s website.

Doctor’s Without Border’s works in over 60 countries assist people whose survival is threatened by violence, neglect, or catastrophe; they provide independent, impartial assistance to those most in need. (http://doctorswithoutborders.org/aboutus/)

Therapy in the Making has chosen Doctors Without Borders as our charity this Blogathon, and I think he has excellent taste. In 1999 Doctors Without Borders won the Nobel Peace Prize for their important work. You can learn more about DWB at their website: http://doctorswithoutborders.org/. Help us thank them and donate if you are able.

Hey guys, Mary Dawn from My Pink Mexico here to take my shift for Blogathon 2009. I was a latecomer to the group—this guy looked desperate. I’m just going to do what I do at my blog, so without further ado:

enjoy
