easter holidays ‘07
Easter holidays are upon us and what a joy this brings! I never found Easter as joyous as Christmas but time off work (or school) has always been a joyous occasion for everyone I’ve ever known. The good thing about Easter is that you get two bank holidays in a row thus forming a 4 day weekend. So I booked off the 4 remaining days of next week as holidays from work and fucked off Brighton to go and see the parents. These are proper holidays. I don’t have to cook, I don’t have to clean, I don’t have to care about anything. I can just stare at the TV like a vegetable and eat all the goodies that my mom cooks for me as she tries to fatten me out of a love life.
Easter is not a happy holiday if you consider what it represents to Christians. Even though I am not religious at all I still find wishes for “Happy Easter” rather bitter sweet. Because yes it is about death AND resurrection but it is not birth if you know what I mean. How the heck did I end up talking about religion? I’d better move on.
So, I am away from Brighton and with the slowest, most unreliable Internet connection which allows me to relax the old fashioned way; just doing nothing. Also a detox from using the internet is a good idea although I don’t see it happening. Have a nice holiday everyone!
