i’ve gone and done it (the way i usually do it)
Today (on my lunch break) I had both my ears pierced. Something I always said I’d never do because I used to think it’s tacky on guys (now I like them)! I don’t know why I felt like doing this. I just thought about it in the weekend and yesterday, while I was out with Monica, Dave, Dave’s boyfriend and the guy I got a crush on, I asked Dave, his boyfriend and Monica to come along when I’d go and have them done. Eventually I thought, well I might as well get it over and done with; so we went today.
We went to Claire’s and in about 20 minutes I had both my earlobes pierced (I know what you’re gonna say; “Claire’s???” - but come on it’s my earlobes I pierced, not something unusual!). It feels a little strange right now because they’re still fresh but I kind of like them on me. I suppose I will post a photo when I finally get internet at home.
This is the second time I’ve done this. When I had my tongue pierced I did the same thing. In fact I gave it even less thought! I was out with Dave and some other people and I was a little drunk. So I said: Hmmm, I think I want to get my tongue pierced.” That was it, we immediately arranged it for the next day. When I woke up and realised that I would actually have to go and have someone poke a hole through my tongue I almost chickened out. But it was peer pressure that helped me out that day. You see, I didn’t want to stand up Dave and Tracey, who I had manipulated into coming along for moral support (the fact that I’m a wuss has been stated before as well). So I went but never regretted it because it’s such a fun piercing to have. Of course, having my stomach tied into a fabulous bowknot while the guy was piercing it and then having my tongue swollen to the size of a beef tomato was not fun. Neither was the pain but after all this passed i.e. the swelling and pain went away, I was able to eat solid foods again, and speak without a lisp; I couldn’t stop playing with it. It’s just so much fun. I still play with it all the time. I know there are many of you out there probably freaked out by the idea (like I used to be) but it is seriously a very fun piercing to have.
Piercings so far (oh dear goat, I hope I don’t decide to get any more): Both earlobes, tongue and eyebrow.

I used to have exactly the same piercings, and yes the tounge is especially fun. Then I had to take them out for a job. As for future piercings, I can assure you that nipples will hurt even more. Are you wearing studs in your ear peircings?
