I was just asked by a mate how my lovelife was…

The casual tone of the conversation and the sudden twist towards that question had my jaw drop in surprise.

I started laughing incredibly loud and then proceeded to hold my head in my hands (for the second time in the last 3 days). I replied:

“I don’t know whether I should laugh or cry.”

His intentions were good, I’m sure of that. It was, however, a hit below the belt even though he did not mean it or realise it.
