Memories … Light the Corners of My Mind …

Hello, Monique from WhenWeWereLiars here. This Blogathon is off to a FAR better start for me than the one in 2007. Why? Well, back then I was recovering from an awful break-up and, based on my post-break-up poor judgment, I hooked up with a creepy little guy who came to be known as SWSP (stalks with small penis; the name was created by Dana, who will be here later, and is really quite self-explanatory). SWSP (called Bill in the linked post) came over during the Blogathon, although I warned him I was going to be busy. Several of us were on webcam, chatting, and SWSP kept trying to make out with me in full view of the webcam. Ewww. He also brought me a bouquet of sunflowers (one of my favorite flowers), a REALLY sappy card in which he had jotted down a poem about me AND a can of Reddi-Whip. Clearly he had big plans for the night. *shudder*
I think he lasted maybe 2 hours before I tossed him out, mainly because he was pouting – yes, pouting – that I wouldn’t do anything other than talk to him and blog. He knew I was going to be up until 9 a.m. EDT, yet continued to call me throughout the night, posting on my blog, and then calling me all day Sunday while I was in bed. That did not make Monique happy. It took quite a while to get rid of him too (hence, the “stalks” part of his nickname). Eventually, through a series of emails that I didn’t open for months, he accused me of moving the “relationship” forward and pushing him for something that he wasn’t ready for. Mmhmm. Creepy bastard.
Anyway, I’m tres glad Colin had the fab idea to do this as a group effort. I am slotted for 10 posts, far better than the full 49 required of individual Blogathon participants.  I’ll be here for the next few hours, then back in the late afternoon (Monique time) for 5 more. I can’t wait to read what everyone else has to say – I started a list of post topics last night – and, of course, to see how much money we can raise for Doctors Without Borders.

My next post will tell you all about my exciting contribution to the sponsor prizes! I know you can’t wait! 😀
