new masthead :: a wet scientist
Those of you who already read my previous post have probably already realised that I’ve graduated. Some of you who are following me on twitter may have also seen that photo of me smiling like a fool in my cap ‘n gown. This was all last week and while I’ve been meaning to put the new masthead up since then I didn’t have any time to myself until today.
I decided to make something summer oriented, since it’s summer and all, but make it very artificial as if it was at the bottom of a pool. You see the summer here is not as sunny and warm as I’d like and the past few days it’s been raining on and off making it an “interesting” Pride weekend (at least no lesbians decided to mud-wrestle this year). Most elements are from iStockphoto (sorry, I got lazy) and of course the updated page background is for the rain outside.
Also, I’ve made the masthead a little larger this time so let me know what you think of the new size and if you like it better this way or the way it was before! If you don’t remember just head over to the mastheads page for a look.
I present to you “I’m a scientist, don’t you know!”. If you can’t see it simply refresh the page or clear your browser’s cache.

Colin Brooks said:It took me a while but I’m back with a decent internet connection so I can reply to your comments. Sorry for the delay! It makes me very happy to know you guys like the new masthead and of course the point of these posts is to get some constructive criticism on the graphics.
To those of you who want to lick me: Feel free to lick away! Just don’t dip me in anything sweet/sticky because I don’t like to attract flies. Although it’d be very cartoony to have a beehive chase me around. Hmmmm, got sidetracked again.
Christine :: Any time you want!
Lisa & Etienne :: My life right now consists of being lazy and not doing much. I am spending as much of this summer as possible with my family. In about a month I’ll be starting a Masters Degree so I need to be able to look back and say that I had a nice summer in order to make it through the winter. I haven’t had a proper summer holiday in years and it feels like this may be my last chance for a carefree time off everything.
iceprincezz :: Doooooood! Where the fuck have you been? Welcome back! I really missed ya! <3
Lisa said:I was just stopping by to make sure you are still alive because a new entry hasn’t popped up in my feed reader! Glad to see that you’ve commented and that you are back online!

Etienne said:Okay, the Conventions are over. So, tell us what we should do from your objective-international perspective. Since, considering the last eight years, we don’t know what the fuck we’re doing over here.

Etienne :: You’re asking ME about politics? In fact you’re asking me about AMERICAN politics? You’re looking to make me rant, don’t you? Dude, I have two words to say: “No” and “comment”.
Colin Brooks said:Oh and one more thing,
Etienne :: I decided on a comment: “McCain scares the crap out of me for way too many reasons (almost as much as Hillary did but in a different way).”
