I had to go to Gatwick Airport today and oh my GOD it was freezing there! My nipples could pierce the t-shirt I was wearing! After I had a coffee to wake up (although coffee rarely works for me), I wanted to have a cigarette. Bad idea.

There used to be a smoking area that had seats and was comfortable enough to have a cigarette for a bit while you wait for your gate to be announced or while you wait for someone’s arrival (notice the past tense). Not anymore. They decided to remove the seats and squeeze what was a small area into a smaller area. Heck, the toilet cubicles are more comfortable than that! People now have to stand, have nothing to lean on and the floor is filthy.

I understand that smoking is a bad habit and I completely agree. I know that it’s is bad for you and I have accepted the damage it will cause me eventually. However, I don’t think that smokers are bad people and should in any way be punished. The lovely managers of Gatwick Airport seem to think otherwise.

There was two staff members dedicated to helping people. Their t-shirts read: “Can we help?”. No-one of them, though, could guide someone who couldn’t read English through to the right gate. They only had something like that for people with special needs. I take it this was not a special need then. I am really disappointed and angry. So I will change the subject quickly.

My brother has been playing the new Grand Theft Auto pc-game I got him. He has been trying to understand what all that American slang means. He also pronounces the words he hears in the game in his own special way. I believe that everyone should call it peeping instead of pimping from now on. It’s just more fun.
