then i dropped the plate back into the sink and went back to give him a big hug
…something weird has happened, i’ve turned into…
Remember that cold I had through the weekend? Well, I gave it to my brother… I have been feeling so guilty but there is nothing I can do about it now.
So I have been taking care of him which is not a very easy task. He is like a huge baby. He refuses to eat anything because his appetite is gone (from the cold) and yesterday it took me about 30 minutes to get him to eat a second piece of toast so that I could give him his medicine in the morning. 30 minutes of me begging him to eat it while he refused and kept repeating in a very deep voice “But I’m not hungry…”. I won the argument and after that gave him his cough and fever medicine before I left for Uni.
I went back to his place around 9:30pm (that’s when I finish from work) to cook him dinner. He had not drunk any water or milk (well he never drinks milk unless it is with cereal) or orange juice. I, again, begged him to drink something because he needs to drink a lot of fluids, now that he is ill. I convinced him to drink some orange juice and after pouring him a glass I proceeded to the kitchen where I prepared dinner and did all the washing up. I took regular breaks to check up on him. I gave him the thermometer to see if he still had a temperature and kept going back and forth to the kitchen. He called me to go back to his room because he wanted me to give him more medicine. I said no, not until he had eaten something first. And went back to finish the dishes.
As I touched the sponge again I realised something weird has happened.
Oh. My. Goat!
I’ve turned into my mother!
