Oh the Oscars. I usually know some of the films that are nominated but this year with my leaving the house a lot less, I’ve been going to the cinema even less than I used to and so I’m totally out of the loop. I have no real opinion on most of the films. I was happy to see Juno was nominated because I’m a fan of indie films that are out of the normal and the usual plastic Hollywood crap we normally see in the cinema. However, I am confessing that I haven’t gotten the chance to watch Juno yet.

Generally I have never been a fan of the Oscars. I don’t hate them but I don’t see what the big deal is. I think the hosts and the way they carry the ceremony is interesting and entertaining. However, I don’t think Jon Stewart was the right person for the job. Bring back Whoopi! (I <3 Whoopi!)

Anyway, the only thing I can say for now is that I hope to see more films this year so I can give my full opinion after next year’s awards ceremony.
